Nathalie Garbani- art explorer
My journey
I spent many years working in healthcare and higher education. Doodling, drawing, painting, and many other creative endeavors have always been my preferred outlets to regroup, recenter, and replenish my heart and soul.
I was educated in France until I started College in the USA. Art was the option I chose every year in middle and high school (for an hour per week for 8 years) and I was blessed to have wonderful teachers who gave me the fundamentl tools to express myself artistically.
In late 2020 when my daughter and I decided to open our own business (a cafe and movement studio), we knew that art would have a central place, not just for what I do but also to support other local artists and artisans.
So I keep creating and feel ready to share.

My work
Gustav Klimt is credited for having said that "art is a line around your thoughts". This quote embodies what drives my creative expression.
I have not typically approached any support I can draw or paint on with a purpose or a clear goal, instead, I let my thoughts, feelings, emotions guide my hands through lines and colors. This has freed me from attachment to the rigidity of many years in structured professional environments and allowed me to explore different media and supports for creating pieces.
